Holy crap, I got 3 packages and tons of letters yesterday. My landlady thought it was my birthday. Nope, my family and friends just love me. Anyway, thanks so much for all the encouragement. I have been feeling better and things have started looking up. Kind of. Like, things are bad but good at the same time.
Some things that weren’t so good, were that the two girls we’ve been teaching fell off date, and it’s so hard to see them not progress in the gospel, because I love them so much and they are like the little sisters I never had. but they want to continue the lessons, so I’m remaining hopeful with them. I feel like we will be able to maintain a good relationship with the family and sooner or later, they will realize what a blessing baptism is.
A miracle happened, though. As you could tell, I had a horrible day last Tuesday, but that night or the next we got a voicemail from a member in the 19th ward and his grandson is 9 and wants to be baptized. He’s been going to church, but recently moved in with his family to his grandparents house, so we are able to teach him. He reminds me of Lucius, in that he goes to church, but wasn’t baptized yet. But he knows everything and his family is super supportive. So, he’s on date to be baptized on the 26th of this month. That was a true blessing from the Lord. and even though I may not be a very good missionary, the Lord won’t let those that need the gospel and want it, go without. So I’m learning to be a better missionary for those people to have that opportunity.
Things are getting much better. It’s still freezing and stuff, but I’m doing better.
We had zone conference last Wednesday and that helped a lot. I could have just waited another day, and I would have been fine. Then, Thursday, I had another doctors appt downtown, and that went really well. We’re going up to 2 pills a day, and if that doesn’t work, he wants to try a different medication. but so far so good.
I’m glad dad’s a ward missionary! That’s exciting. It’s fun to work with them and I’m sure he’ll be able to do a lot of good.
I really hope Misty gets that job. I’ll be praying for her! And it sounds like fun. That trip to Indiana sounds awesome! That’s so cool. I hope it goes well and that you get to do all that you’ve planned to do. I really want to go there, so we’ll all have to go when Jacob gets back. sounds like a plan.
Well, thanks for EVERYTHING! Please tell your friend that I said thank you for the package, IT’S AMAZING! She left her number, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to call her or not. But… its amazing, please tell her I really appreciate it.
Thanks for the blanket, too… its so warm!!!!! I wish I could wear it around proselyting. Oh, so I met a guy who was just baptized at the end of December and he used to work with Tony for APEX in El Paso! Weird, right? Small world.
Anyway, I hope you have a good week.
I love you!!!
